Project One

This project involved the design, supply, installation, and configuration of a modern Command & Collaboration Center built for high-performance monitoring, analysis, and teamwork. The room features a 2×2 75-inch TCL QD-Mini LED 4K video wall, powered by a J-Tech Digital 4K video wall controller and multiviewer, enabling seamless display of multiple data sources in real time. A MINISFORUM i9 mini PC and advanced DisplayLink-based multi-output solutions ensure reliable content distribution across the video wall and operator workstations. The center is fully networked using a Grandstream managed PoE switch, supporting secure, high-availability connectivity. Collaboration is enhanced through a Yealink A30 all-in-one collaboration bar with wireless content sharing, while professional audio, ergonomic workstations, and 4K Dell monitors provide a comfortable and productive user experience. The project also included full room renovation—acoustic treatments, lighting, air conditioning, furniture, structured cabling, rack systems, UPS, and professional commissioning—delivering a turnkey, future-ready operations center.

The engagement began with a site survey and a series of workshops with the operations team to understand how they monitor, escalate and resolve incidents. We mapped every data source the room would need to display, from network dashboards and CCTV feeds to reporting tools, and used that inventory to size the video wall, choose the controller and plan the cable routes before any hardware was ordered.

Design work covered sightlines, viewing distances and operator ergonomics as much as the technology. The wall height and seating layout were set so every workstation has a clear view of all four panels, and the lighting plan avoids glare on the screens while keeping the room comfortable for long shifts. Acoustic panels were specified early so that calls and conversations stay intelligible even when the room is fully staffed.

Installation was phased to keep the client's existing operations running. Structured cabling, power and the rack were completed first, followed by the network core and UPS, so the room could be energised and tested before the display and collaboration equipment arrived. Each stage was signed off against a checklist agreed with the client, which kept surprises to a minimum during the final fit-out.

Commissioning included end-to-end testing of every video source, failover of the network and power systems, and a set of scripted scenarios run with the operators themselves. We then delivered hands-on training for the team, documentation for every system, and a support plan so the center keeps performing long after handover.
